Recycling
Mercury, lead, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and other hazardous compounds are used to produce things people use every day, including light bulbs, batteries, computer equipment and electronics (e-waste)—to name few. Because these substances present a risk to human health, their disposal is subject to numerous federal and state regulations, including the Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Safe handling and disposal of items that contain hazardous substances is imperative. Veolia’s RecyclePak® services make it easy for you to stay safe and meet regulatory requirements. With Veolia's RecyclePak®, you can recycle a range of quantities—from just a few compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) to enough e-waste to fill an office building or a warehouse. Veolia's RecyclePak® containers are available for batteries; fluorescent lamps and ballast; mercury-containing devices; dental waste; and electronics. One price includes everything you need to recycle these materials, including packaging, shipping, processing and documentation. When your Veolia RecyclePak® is full, simply ship it to Veolia for processing, using the prepaid return shipping label that is provided with the packaging.
